VOGUE... My God

It was always a joke between my husband and I, but now it's become a reality.

As part of an Ask a Wedding Planner Special, Vogue Weddings Online Magazine asked us to shoot a floral display masterclass followed by a session of questions and answers with their audience.

This was my dream, with just 4 days to prepare, arrange, hold the photo shoot, edit and deliver. The BTS bits you don't see, we're not afraid to show you or at least tell you. I set to work on this opportunity of a lifetime, the highlight of my career to date. So when they say everything in the Fashion industry is done like yesterday, they really weren't joking.

The most intense weekend of my life, my nerves, anxiety and stress were all spiralling out of control. I couldn't sleep, I didn't sleep, I didn't know if I was excited or just felt sick from the nerves. I literally kept thinking to myself, do not F this up Raysa, but I was determined to give it my all.

Shoot day sprung up.. At the crack of dawn I was up, prepping, packing, sorting myself out and oh, not to mention the kids too. I was absolutely terrified of ruining this dream I've worked so hard for, that I drank about 3 cups of coffee within the first hour. Now to most, this is probably OTT but to those who suffer from anxiety, this is, well "normal" or so they say.

The day was ahead, we set off to this beautiful venue, set up and arranged the room, together the team and I, in just a few hard hours we had got our shots.

P.S My team were incredible, but more on them later.

If you followed Vogue Wedding's story, we hope you enjoyed our Instagram takeover but if not, you can catch our work below.

 The shoot highlights:

Watch me discuss wedding planning during Covid-19. I discuss tips on flower arranging, showcasing beautiful flowers, and how to budget by growing flowers in your garden and still get the Vogue and Instagram worthy flower arrangement.

I hope you enjoyed the feature of our dream moment but without you, my amazing Clients this wouldn't be possible. Thank you for letting me do what I love and bring you new content.

Behind me, along the way was a very talented team, the most beautiful venue and you can find their deets below.

Photography: Asia Burrill - No introduction needed, the incredible award winning photographer with the eye for detail. I've been trying to master taking pictures for about 5 years now, nothing of mine comes close to the Queen of photography- Asia. There's no-one else for wedding photography. I did book Asia for my wedding, and embarrassingly, well let's just say I messed that one up. Her fun personality set the environment and made me feel so at ease. I will forever be grateful for her dedication, time and constant reassurance.
